Has anyone used these on a jeep? Pros/Cons?

Wouls it be better to stick to other axels, I'm looking for the most bomb proof axles that can take punishment with 48" tires.

Thanks in advance

For 48" tires, get Rockwells.

The strongest center section that will fit in a Diamond Axle is a Ford 9"
and that's no where near strong enough for 48" tires IMO.
Look in the "Axles/Tires/Wheels For Sale" forum here for Rockwells.

There are sets or individual ones for sale on a regular basis.
You can also get them from military surplus. They're 2 1/2 ton axles.

Great thanks, I will look into these. I am new to wheeling, All I know is trophy trucks and fast cars. My plan now is to build a sick ass jeep only problem is that I am not sure about axles but everything else is a breeze.

Also look into Mogs, portal axles, high, low gearing, and can be upgraded fairly cheap. All depends on your wheeling needs and style, rockwells are killer, but freaking heavy and overkill for many.

I plan on wheeling it hard as hell. Everything I come across I break or beat the living shit out of it, I want some axles that will be virtually unbreakable. That way I wont have to worry about how much fun I am going to not have. I have looked into rockwells since the post and found that they are pretty badass and tough as hell. I guess now I will look into mogs, contrast and compare. Thanks

No, I asked if it was. I am new to wheelin so I am trying to find out which axles can take the most punishment. I got a 9inch in back of a mustang that easily handles 750hp. My only concern for wheelin is what axles, everything else for the build I am going to be doing I get. I have never owned a 4x4 before, had the jeep for less than a month. I am going to stretch the wheelebase, skids all over, supercharge and stroke, cage, tranny, and so on with more mods.
