: RR/Disco Manual Trans Pedals Needed
D110pickup 04-11-2006, 08:47 PM I helping a friend convert his auto RR over to a R380 box but he's having a problem finding the pedal assembly (brake/clutch pedal, brackets, and clutch master cylinder). I've got a manual Disco and it looks like that setup will work.
Anyone have one to sell or know where one can be had?
Thanks,
Mike
aloharover 04-12-2006, 10:02 AM Give George at rovers down south a call.
The purchase might even qualify as a contribution to Katrina relief on your taxes :D

Thanks for the suggestion but George has almost nothing for RR/Disco's.
I have bought a bit from him and like doing business with him.

m016324 04-12-2006, 01:13 PM Probably going to have to source in the UK as there were not that many stick discos brought here. (Only two or three years I think) You could probably adapt a defender series or nearly any other clutch pedal assembly with some fabrication

How about equicar?
http://www.equicar.co.uk/
I haven't dealt with them myself but know 2-3 folks that have.

D110pickup 04-12-2006, 06:28 PM Pete,
I'll try a few more sources in the US and then Equicar might be a good choice.
BTW, I've watched your site for a few years (think you were in Hi. when I started) and have gotten alot out of it. Keep em coming.

texascadillac42 04-12-2006, 06:52 PM There is a guy on Discoweb.org that has countless parts vehicles for sale. If you check the classifieds section, you will undoubtedly find him, i believe he is in TN, or the southeastern US.
On edit, I am doing the exact same thing to a 95 RRC. Going with an R380 box out of Disco. We are using the whole disco pedal assembly, and it looks to be bolt in. How is the rest of the swap going for you?
cptyarderho 04-12-2006, 08:46 PM yea, check with Will Tillery. Have dealt with him many times, good guy.

Texas,
We're still in the parts gathering & rebuilding stage so I can't report any progress on the actual swap yet. If you run into any roadblocks please post the info. Thanks,
Mike
Junkyddog11 04-13-2006, 05:30 AM I've got a 300Tdi R380 into a RRC swap going on right now. The brake clutch pedal ass. is suprisingly hard to find. Try Les at Rovers North, he has some good but obscure connections worldwide and has found many hard to find parts for me in the past.
pendy 04-13-2006, 11:04 AM If you feel like giving me a call I will walk you through rebuilding yours for a clutch pedal. I have done it a few times.

SlowRVR 04-13-2006, 06:15 PM I need the same thing for my diesel swap. However, looking at a non-95 (softdash) RRC there is a dash support strut that is not present on the Disco and I think this precludes using a Disco pedal box. If not, the Disco predal box is the exact same for manual and auto. The rod for the clutch pedal and the hole for the clutch master are all in place on the auto, you just need the pedal and the master. If it will work on the RRC, someone who's done it please let us know!!
Junkyddog11 04-14-2006, 05:29 AM I'll know in the middle of next week when the next crate of junk shows up from the UK
JSBriggs 04-15-2006, 02:08 PM Ive got a RRC 3 pedal set up on the shelf. If anyone needs pics to compare with a disco setup, let me know.
