I am doing a report for one of my classes on OHV trails in CA. I was wondering if anyone knows some good places to get info on some of the lawsuits that are going on. Or any info that might be usefull, even your opinions will help out. I have found some info on Sierra trek that they will not let anyone with a rig that is over 80" wide on, and if they do and someone goes off the trail that they will close it down. Thanks in advance for any info that you may have.

information about Sierra Trek...
Sierra Trek is an event put on by CA4WDC each year. it is not a trail, not sure if you knew that or not by your post. They have a few others runs for the larger vehicles. as for the going off-the trail and closing it down part - unfortunately that is true for every single OHV trail in this country....
I would also like to commend you on using OHV instead of "off-road" or ORV... since none of us intentionally drive off-road, off highway vehicle is a much better term.
as for getting info on Land Use and closures check the post in this section about "where to find current Land Use information".
UFWDA, BRC, CA4WDC, Crowley off-road, off-road.com, Del Albrights page, FOTR and a lot of other good sites are listed there and should have more information than you know what to do with...If you need more help let me know and I'll see what I can do...

I had just heard that there is going to be some kind of meeting in Sacramento about the issues about the OHV trails, do you know anything about that, and is it open to the public?
