Hello fellow cruiser heads,

I am on the look out to find a suitable rig. specificly a fj55 or fj40, however I would be interested in an fuel injected fj60 also. I would like find one within reasonable distance of Seattle, WA and in running condition. Some rust is ok but it souldn't have rust holes everywhere. I can spend up to 2000 dollars for the right rig. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got an '83 BJ60 that I'm selling if you're interested. I'm a short ferry ride across the water to Victoria, BC. If you can come up with a few thousand more, and interested in a diesel let me know.

$2,000 is *not* going to get you very far in the Cruiser world, even with the recent tumbling that the market has taking (there are signs of the Cruiser market stabilizing, too), that's borderline parts truck. Your best bet is probably an early FJ40 that needs a lot of work. For the most part, FJ55's under $3,000 are either swiss cheese or missing key components. Ditto for FJ60's, you may find the occasional one for around $2,000, but it will probably be *very* rusty and in need of work. Forget fuel injection, it only came on 1987-1990 FJ62's and finding one for that price is virtually impossible.

I'm sure that there will be people responding who've gotten pristine Land Cruisers for $1,500, but I'm going by my own personal experience and close monitoring of the Cruiser market.

Thanks for your input guys, but I have found the case around here to be different. I had a pristine fj55 in my grasp for 2000 but I just couldn't get the cash at the time. Keep it coming, and tell me about your buddy's cruisers.
