: what material to use for 4 link.

Building a 4 link for my yj.

HRS or CRS for brackets and gussets?
DOM for links

what sizes?

Any help would be greatful.

i run 2"x.25" wall dom for my links. they are big but i only have 2 of them (ford style radius arms) run .25 inch wall or thicker on links

1.75x 250 wall dom for top links and 1.75 x 500 wall for bottom links

1.75" .25" lowers and 1.5" .125 for lower round DOM

you can even run 1.75" solid lowers and 1.5" solid uppers

you can square 2" lowers and 1.5" uppers

the list goes on and on...depending on what $$$$ you got to spend...

Once you weld the tube, the heat treatment's invalid. I would suggest any plate you can.

Seels like 0.25" wall min is the concensus, maybe 0.375" (if it's even available) or 0.5", but bending that shite is a biotch. 2" dia tube sounds sweet, but 1.75" is the most popular as it fits most folk's bender dies.

If you cen get 4130, 4340 (chromoly), that's the ticket.
