so this is what i would like to know:

what brand and model:

how much you paid:

I have a Sony mini- disc receiver in my early Bronco . I can dub my
favorite tunes for different moods and it doesn't skip . On road or
off . Just have to have a md recorder . :flipoff2:

I use a sony tape player, and a portable cd player with an adaptor. I have one minute of antiskip and bass boost to boot. I have never had it skip off road. Even on the rocks.

There are no indash cd players that have antiskip. So save yourself some $$$ and do what i did. Same audio quality w/o the annoying skipping.

I've got a Panasonic G-Tech cdplayer, 45x4, 4v outputs, works great, NEVER skipped offroad even jumping @ 60 and flying for 4 car lengths...

Only thing is I bought it used off ebay, my particular model is discontinued, and i've managed to rattle it around enough that the cd mechanicsm doesn't know a new cd is put it, or removed so it constantly thinks a cd is in place...otherwise it gets great reception, good features, and no-skip @all

I have a DIN and Half Pioneer DEH something or other in my TJ, and I swear to God, I've NEVER heard that thing skip, no matter how hard I've hit a hole, etc....
I used to have a Sanyo in the early 90's that would skip if I adjusted my ass in the seat. POS :D

If you are listening to a CD on the trail then you are not paying attention to your rig.

One more thing this should go to chit chat

I've got the same one, great player. You need to take it apart and clean it out real good with some canned air. Mine does the same thing about once a year.

Screw the CD player. Slap in a crappy cassette deck and play MP3s off your pcoket PC. No moving parts and you won't care when the cassette player gets drowned in the mud hole.

Don't all parts vehicles come with at least one working cassette player?

first off

:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: welcome you fawkin newbie :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

and as for the cd player, i got a deh-p7400mp pioneer, i paid 250ish for it off ebay. it does pretty good, haven't had it skip yet, and it plays mp3s which is pretty nice. my lil sis has the one right below it that doesn't play mp3s and its actually in some ways a nicer cd player, it works alot faster then mine -there isn't so much lag-. its also got the nifty little screen on it to distract you from driving, very nice. and as for the flaming, my sami is my daily driver, so not having tunes is not an option
