Could I legally swap a solid axle into the front of my TTB shod 2wd Ranger in the state of Virginia?? Could I get it to pass inspection at all? I have a shop that I found that will inspect my lifted 4x4's, seeing as all the other gas n go shops don't have clue what they are doing.
Anyone have some info on this??? Thanks!
What kind of inspections do you have there?
I'm not certain, but I'd bet you'd be fine.

Acually, from my friends experiences here in Virginia, the inspectors are a total bunch of asses. Most of the time they have no idea what they are doing and don't even know the laws themselves so if anything looks funny, they just don't pass it. I live in Virginia but my truck is registered in NC so I don't have to worry about it. I know my friend told me that when you do a SAS in Virginia, you have to get a "reconstructed" title to actually make it legal. That is second hand information, so take it at that. Sorry for not being too much help :D

Call your insurance agent. They can probably give you all the information you need.

Called em, they can insurence it, but are not 100% sure if I can do it....said call DMV. So, I'll post what I find in 100 years when I'm done holding........:flipoff2:
Anyone else with some info??
as you can legally build a car from scratch I really doubt they made a law against a SAS
you may have to go 'reconstructed' or whatever it is called in your locale

Dude not a problem...finish it up call Dave at LCC or whatever the hell it is now and he'll get you all set up....but take it for what its worth...as the norm is that he doesn't leave the desk 95+% of the time....
