going to the DMV this afternoon to make sure....
One one side it looks like we do need one because of its GVWR being over the limit. A vehicle with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than 26,000 lbs. its at 31k.
On the othe hand we dont because of Exemptions. ndividuals ....operating motor homes or other vehicles used exclusively to transport personal possessions or family members, for nonbusiness purposes. so we are confused... should know today one way or the other.
Either way it goes we will definately have to get an air-brake endorsement.

It was in a junk yard down here.. a buddy of mine called up because he knew we were looking for a rig. Looks like at its 130k service they had to re-place the u-bolts on the rear axle.. well.. they didnt get em torqued. snapped the pinion off. so we towed it home... gotta drop the 3rd member and re-gear it.. Quote for a gear set and labor to set em up was $700 sooo....were into it $4k now after gears and a bed.
