: Mud Bog
Bama40 04-10-2002, 07:12 AM I know this is mostly a 'rock' board, but was wondering if anyone out there had any information of Mud Bog competitions/sites in the Deep South (AL, FL, GA, MS, TN), specifically in Alabama?
Internet search pulls up several events in the mid-West (MO, IL, IN, IA, MN), but nothing closer.
I know there must be something closer to me. I'm not talking about any professional or big time events, I'm just looking for your local, weekly mud bog races.
Thanks,
Bama40

check with your local 4x4 shops....they usually know what going on locally. Ask some of the locals with big 4x4's they know spots to go too.....
jeepmaxx 04-10-2002, 07:28 AM Where are you in Bama? I have a friend here in Auburn that mud races. I know that he is busy with school right now(3 weeks till finals) but I will try to pass your e-mail address to him. Maybe he can help you out.
Bama40 04-10-2002, 07:52 AM About 50 miles west in Millbrook.
If you could get hold of him for info, that would be perfect.
Auburn or anywhere near there is within easy afternoon driving range.
Thanks
bad80cj-7#2 04-10-2002, 11:54 AM Hey guys, I live in Auburn AL. I would love to go see some local mud bogs. I heard of some bogs in Real town is there any truth to this? By the way me and a buddy have a pretty well set up garage so if you need any help with anything shoot me a call or email me. 334-887-0997 or bad80cj@hotmail.com Its good to see some boys from alabama on the boards.
Bama40 04-10-2002, 12:21 PM Have any of you guys been to Southern Offroad Park in Prattville?
Not very big, mostly mud, no rocks, short trails, lots of rednecks.
I'll have a few pics up on my web site in another couple days, only 2 or 3, wasn't much happening the day we were there.
Hey, I might take you up on the garage offer, I wish you were closer, I've got a lot of work to do on my Cruiser and all I got is a uncovered driveway.
bad80cj-7#2 04-10-2002, 12:40 PM My buddy and I have quite a bit of knowledge but never enough and lots of laughs. plenty of  but nothing to wheel, both of our projects are in pieces. one of these days give me a yell so we can wrench on that cruiser. we both have cj-7's and :smokin:
Bama40 04-10-2002, 12:56 PM Check out:
http://www.mmpdragracing.com/off-road_racing_at_mmp.htm
Southeastern Short Course Off-Road Series, coming to Montgomery this weekend.
Class 7E (Economy, small trucks, & 4 cyl.)
Challenge / Corr II Buggies
Corr Class 9 / Score 10 Buggies
Ultra 8 / V8 Trucks
If I'd stop going to 'events' on the weekends, I'd probably be a lot further along on my Cruiser. I can't help it though, I'm a 'motorsport-aholic'.

dodgecowboy97 02-26-2006, 07:30 PM Up in Electic Alabama March 11th, the rooster mud bog. $10 to get in but it's worth it. Most of the time they got a live band towards the end. Bring a rig and try it. It aint that bad, just to many 4wheelers in the morning but by lunch the big boys come out and tear it up. It's off hwy 170 north of Russel's do-it-center on the left side. If u need more info hit me up on Yahoo, dodgecowboy97@yahoo.com.
