I was wondering if anyone on this board is from the Uhwarrie area and happened to make it up for the first weekend. If so......did you see or better yet get pics of the fully locked Kia Sportage. I saw it but i didnt take any pics. It was white with custom rack and bumpers.

My guess is that someone just wanted to be different. Either that or see what Kia will really warranty on that 10 yr/100,000 warranty

where are you located in NC. I am in Raleigh and will probably head up to Uwharrie for a weekend at the end of this month or maybe early May. As far as a locked Kia no but I have seen a completely stock one up there messing around on the trails.

I'm in Durham. I plan on going back up there in about a month. I saw one and was told it was locked up. That's sorta why I was wondering if anyone else had any more info about it. It probably wasnt locked it just made someone's story sound better :(

yeah...ive seen pics, some friends from tidewater fourwheelrs went down there when that :rainbow: sportage was down there...had a front bumper made of 1" tubing and it had an atv winch on the front...ill see if i can get some pics.

As far as wheeling locally, no where for me right now, but usually off Kemp road just past the durham county line, Alexander drive next to LabCorp in RTP, new hope( also called Poole road), Back in the day there was some good stuff out on Capital Blvd at Old wake forest road but that is all gone due to that new mall they are building right there. Thats all I can think of right now my truck has been down for a while so I'm kind out of it as far as any new places.

His name is Kevin he works at a trailer place here in Greensboro.
I talked to him about a year ago he was saying something about D60 F&R. Saw him drive by saturday obviously it didn't happen.
He joined our club but I have yet to see him on a ride I think he works a lot.
Funny thing is the guy is HUGE like 6'6"+ I mean tall and big!!!Amazing that that he fits in there I'm not all that large but I think I'd have a hard time sitting in the Kia.
Kudos for building something different even it it isn't the end all be all, he seems to enjoy it.
