Ya know, I just got my bill from PM for my U-bolts and spring plates. And it's a little higher than I thougt it would be.

They are BIG-ASS U-bolts, but I'm wondering if the Stock ScoutII U-bolts would work for me, or is bigger U-bolts a necessary (or recommendable) upgrade.

Later...

Stock bolts are 1/2", IIRC. That's what I'm using on all of my Scouts still.

The passenger front U-bolts are definitely different with a GM housing though.. those you do need diff.

I don't pay more than $10/U-bolt usually.. often it's $8-ish, I might've had one run me $12 once...

BUT.. that's still $40 for the front, and $40 for the rear U-bolts..

Hmmm.. BCB has 1/2" U-bolts, a set, for $64, or $8 each.

5/8s are $12 each.

Get a set, but ask John to leave out the passenger front bolts - and/or substitute the ones you need..

Well then that price sounds right. Yeah, bigger is better.

Thanks
