I noticed I put a wrong pic up there. Like most sites I use many of the same pics for all the products. Just to give the customer a general idea of what they will get.
As for an installed pic I went looking on my PC and I beleiev I have one.
Randy has most pics at the shop.

Notice to all: We will not tell you what rotors we use with our kits (unless you are a customer)or measurements of the brackets we build. The reason is you ask? So we can stay in business.

Thank you guys for the interst in out products.
As for a couple answers.. These are 3/8" thick, I know what my sig states. But I can tell you that.
As for the rotors they are slide on, just like the drums.
I asked Randy if he had any install pics. He does not. we do how ever have several happy customers with it, plus a gentleman that frequents the shop has the kit on his rig. I can try to get a better pic of it.
The picture I used with the rim on it I was told by Randy is a 14 bolt dually kit. I do not want to misrepresent his products. He did say how ever, that is what it would look like installed almost exactly..
I also stated that most of the pictures on our site are used for other kits. These are for generalization only.
As for the question of the red star deals. I know alot of vendors make deals as will we soon enough with other products, but as for our rear disc brake kits. These are some of the lowest if not the lowest on the internet for complete bolt on kits that are shipped free to your door. So by alrights and not to start a problem, I am stating no deals on the rear disc kits.
In the future, maybe......
highly undr8ed, thank you for your input..

Why does the one piece detach?
Blackbirdscustom
05-22-2006, 09:28 AM
Because it goes behind the axle flange, it needs to go over the axle tube. We give you the cut piece as an added stiffener to the bracket. That way you are not just holding a bracket on with 3 bolts. There is no problem holding it on with three. We just want to give the customer the option. Some customers have welded them together.

These are bolt on kits.. No question as to trimming spacers to make these fit correctly. Do not piece your rear disc brakes together. Go with a time tested kit.

Remember these are slide on rotors. Not staked on from behind.. Don't be fooled into thinking you can just get a bracket and stake on a rotor.
We are the only company with slide on rotors even a Competitor stopped selling the sterling kit with stake on rotors.. Because it was not safe enough. The knurls from the studs do not penetrate far enough into the rotor, thus allowing them to spin when tightened.
We know disc brakes.....

I am considering doing a 10.25" rar axle swap in my 2001 F-250, so I can run a kingpin dana 60 and have matching wheels. Does this kit include calipers as well? Are they compatible with '99 up factory ford ABS systems, or would the stock 10.5" calipers work? Thanks.

These are a bolt on kit.. No messing with tube spacers, no worrying about multiple bracket pieces to bolt together, and no bent brackets to bend into place..
These are not modified 12 3/4" rotors and our kit will fit your 16" bud stock rims..

Thinking about doing this to my 10.25 Sterling. My only question is concerning the E-brake set up. Would your kit include new E-brake cables?
The stock proportioning valve is set up up for disc/drum set up. How would the rear disc swap affect the braking ratio?
I've seen guys play around with rod the between the master cyclinder and vacuum booster to get a better brake pedal feel. Does one need to adjust the rod with your kit? Adjusting the rod is easy enough.

No we do not supply a new E brake cable. Most if not all trucks our kits have been put on have used there existing cables with slight mods.
The stock proportioning valve is set up up for disc/drum set up. How would the rear disc swap affect the braking ratio?
This subject is a touchy one. If you search this board you will find a vast variety of people that have changed there MC and have not changed them.
We have left that part for the customer to decide how he wants the feel of his brakes.
On almost 90% of the rear kits we sell, the customer has not changed thier MC and love the kits. I have personnaly installed kits on to 14bolt, dana 60's and 12bolts. ranging from truck to cars and never palyed with the MC and the brakes worked excellant. But like stated it really comes down to how the customer feels.
Hope to have you stop by..
Thank you
