Ok, this all started a long freakin time ago when I went 4 wheeling with a friend. He passed this sickness on to me and I've been getting worse ever since. It started with 31" tires then 33's then 35's then 37's and now 40's I'll be able to put 42's under but thats further down the line.
Its not just tire size it was bolt on crap untill that shit broke so many times I had enough. After running 37's at 93" wheel base the Jeep didn't want to climb (center of gravity problems) so I wanted to strech my wheel base.
I had a kick ass D44 front but it wasn't strong enough for the level of wheeling I'm at.
This is what started this project.

Hanging out at the shop Sean says to me wana buy my NV4500 and Atlas 4.3? Two seconds later because I was drinking a bear I said hell yea. So now I'm not only going to stretch my front I'm putting in a 1 ton drive train.

Bling Bling! If you don't mind, approximate how much are you going to have into that front axle? I've been toying with the idea of just building on like that instead of buying a Ford HP60 and building it.

Oh yeah, I remember that build now. Doh! I wish I could afford that kinda bling right now. It's gonna have to wait until I move outta this over-expensive hell-hole first

Of course, I DID just get another $2000 unexpected raise :D

So, I brought the Jeep to the shop and removed the D44 to ship off to the east coast. I removed it with the jeep on the trailer. Then later brought the Jeep back to the shop to remove the AX-15 and Tera 4.0 to have it picked up from another person in CA. We took the jeep off the trailer with the shop lift and started the NV4500 and Atlas install. I don't have pictures here but I'm going to do a thread of its own for the install. I'll edit and post a link later.

Since the front was going to be streched a lot and I broke my steering box 3 times I wanted to do away with the box all together. My TC pump is from AGR and it puts out.:grinpimp:
I got my Orbi from Station and the Ram is 8" travel the Orbi would be just a hair over 4 turns to lock but I'm limmited internally for 7" travel so I have 3.5 turns to lock.

This is the front mount for the ram. I think its very well protected and if it ever needs to be swaped out it would only take 10 minutes.

4 link front and no track bar? You ever drive it on the road with your old steering?

I had Rubicon Express's links with a track bar. It was fine on road with the steering box but I was tearing brackets on the axel because I pushed the flex past what it was designed to do. You need to remove one of the upper link arms so the axel can twist. I didn't trust the little 10mm bolts holding the uppers in. I sheared 3 grade 8 bolts in the rear uppers, but that was with the rear 4 link triangulated and a tera 60 w/5.38's.

The lower main link assembly is essentially the same as RE's but only in where the links direct. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

The exhaust is still going to work with the last set up I had so no extra money spent there.

The upper coil over mounts are a little trick. I had to cut a hole behind the head lights for the tower and shock mounts. 12" may have not needed a hole.

I needed to move the rear spring pads back. the fuel cell from Gen-Right is 20gal and I moved 3" back only because I'm putting 39.5's krawlers on. There is a faint chalk line on the back I plan on trimming to fit the tires. If I wanted to go to comp corners I could move the housing back 5" from stock 93" with the tera 60 CRD.

I have more to do Monday. Rear shock mounts, tube fenders, smco trimming, Tire mounting, beer drinking.

ok, so I had a couple people ask me to finish drinking my beer  and finish this build up thread, LoL
I ran 40" red lable krawlers for about 2 years and I have 42" Irocs now. I had to pocket my rear frame for my shocks and for possibly furture Air shocks. I'm going to put a rear exo tube fender set up that ties into my cage.
I'll post pictures tomorrow.
