Edit: 2nd pic added. It's not pretty, but who cares? The new D&C bumper will cover it up when it arrives.:skull:

Plate says "GO4X4LO". It should read "BUILD-IT-FASTER-YOU'RE-SLOW"

Urban Wheeler 04-16-2006, 02:04 PM Took the bike out for a road trip on Saturday, went to ChiScouter's house to pick up this
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y257/Fryloc/hfbox.jpg
300 mile round trip. Had lunch, looked at his caddy motor in his Scout, talked about his 5.3 and some other stuff.
There's a family function today but I didn't feel like going. My cousin calls upa and says Easter dinner will be at her house, and we can come if we want to. Whatever. If she doesn't want us there she should just say so.
Gen. Nonsense 04-16-2006, 06:09 PM Sat: Got a late start due to extreme alchohol intake on Friday night. Cut tube and notched for about as long as I could (40 mins) and layed down for awhile:laughing: Started again at about 3:00 PM on the back part, and gave up about 6:00 PM Had steak and Alaskan King legs for dinner.
Sun: Finished cutting and notching, got everything welded in that I can think of. (I may put another tube across the back for a little extra strength.) Worked on some electrical gremlins under the hood and cleaned up the wiring.

Dirt Boy 04-16-2006, 08:31 PM Cleaned and painted some engine parts and got my engine ready to swap in a "new" one. Cleaned the garage, helped the wife get the garden ready and had an Easter nip hunt with friends.

Air bumps are worth it.
Front shaft wasn't good beyond 30-deg.. like, say, drooped out front and on the throttle.. spit it out halfway through the first race and then had to back off due to wheel hop.
Second run I got a late start (ground cable), but at least I knew I was in 2wd and drove it like a 2x. :D
My sister rode shotgun the last run. She survived. :D
Didn't win, place, or show.. but finished both races, and the only damage was a pair of U-joints on the front shaft, and a dent or two in it.
Air bumps A-OK, but they were HOT.. so were the res and non-res shocks.. and I do enjoy my new Beard.
Now to get the half of a tree out of the grille of the trail rig so I can go play in the snow this weekend..
ogrescout 04-16-2006, 10:30 PM Luckily i got to home for easter. SO i went home to my beloved scout. Did some wiring, rebuilt the carb, measured for slider, ordered shock towers, and ate all my parents food before heading back to school. I cant wait for summer to go wheelin more. I only get to go about once a month it kills me.

Diesel Smoke 04-17-2006, 12:25 PM Saturday:
Gun club orientation, I am now an official member:D :D !! I am really excited! Got home and figured out why my alternator hasn't been charging for the past two weeks. Looks like one of the studs came loose, then burned out a connection and some of the wiring inside auto-digested. I am really sold on the group 31 battery. Ran my diesel for a week and a half with one charging. Included about 2 hours with headlights and wipers.
Sunday:
Easter stuff with the hole famdamnly. A great time was had by all.
harkinoff 04-17-2006, 02:01 PM I beat the total Shit out of the Scout. I think I cracked a ring from over winding the little 350? The new bottom end held fine to 6000 plus:D I did a shit load of trails in Moab and met some real great people from this board. Renojeepster and The big guy himself, Lance... The Red Rock 4x4 club totally ruined the The EJS thing for me. I will never step foot into that fucking place with them in town. There is many more places in this country to wheel without being told which trail I can and can't run because their group has priorty over us freaks. I try an get some pics for you garage wheelers soon:cool2:

IHC-6 04-17-2006, 02:37 PM I looked at the new 44 for my Travelall that I got from UglyScout.
Fixed the fuel system on my tractor, and mowed till the rain drove me indoors.
Nice Easter dinner with the family, and an early bedtime all weekend.

I thought it was Shadow Man, but it didn't look quite right, as soon as I saw your Avatar I put it all together. I gotta get back there and do some recreational wheeling!

So what turned you off to the EJS? We decided to quit the EJS during the 2004 Safari. It just is too damn silly for me now. I actually spent more time waiting for and pulling broke ass jeeps out of the way more than I got to wheel. No More.
This weekend? Cruised around a little in the Scout adjusting the F.I. and sprung a harmonic balancer leak. :shaking:

About what you just said there. Waiting and pulling others off of the trail. "I'm knocking on wood"
Harvester of Sorrow 04-17-2006, 09:22 PM Friday:::
Flew home from Atlanta and Miami trip...got in around 12:45am...Ended up not unwinding and falling asleep till about 2:45-3:00am.:(
Saturday:::
Got up around 6:30am...E-filed my taxes. Left for Yakima to visit with my boys for the Easter weekend. Stayed with them at my mothers house...:shaking: Bought some shoes for my youngest son Cruz...His looked like they were about 20 years old...Evidently my child support just doesn't quite cover that...:mad3: Gave them both trims because the barbershops in Yakima must not accept my money from her...:rolleyes:
Sunday:::
Spent the morning cleaning my mothers kitchen so I would not freak the fuck out...
I got home around 5:00pm...My booty call cancelled, so I went right to work on the Scout...:) Drained my over filled leaking, yet freshly sealed T-case...and did some house work.
Today:::
Re-sealed pan on T-case, as well as the bearing cap cover...evidently the sealant I used was shit? It seems that when I was prying the T-case pan off of the donor unit the fucking thing was stuck on so well that it bent the flange rather than break free. Well brilliant here...didn't double check that shit and well it just started leaking like a drain...drip drip drip drip.
Soooo that shit is going to fully cure before it sees gear oil tomorrow.
Cleaned my beadlocks for paint. Tomorrow I should be spraying some primer and then some HAMMERITE on the newly assembled units....write-up on those bitches will be coming next week...
I hope to put them on this weekend...
Right now sucking down a bourbon and coke...

Yeah, my mom thought child support was for her wardrobe. My dad used to sneak us money at school so we could buy shoes, coats, sports equipment, whatever my mom wouldnt cover. Which wasnt much. Food, barely. When your boys get older your gonna have to get sneeky. Have your mom leave 'notes' for them at school with a few bucks for what ever. Just to show you care. Meant more to me than crappy phone calls every couple days.

Dang. I drove through Yakima at about... hmmm... 5pm or so I guess, maybe a bit later, on the way back from Boise where I watched my sons beat some guys up, before I took my turn in the ring and kicked some poor guy in the head... ;)
What time did you head back over the mountains? You missed the excitement, just a bit east of you, outside pendleton, we saw a twister touch down... it wasn't a strong one, wasn't a big one, but it was kind of exciting nevertheless..
This was the storm wall it fed off of.. I didn't get a picture of the twister, it didn't last long enough for me to pull of the freeway and take a picture...

Don't know. When is it going to be?
I'm still around, but the taekwondo takes up most of my time... ;) I teach 5 - 10 hours a week, plus my own training... I test for 2nd degree BB in a couple months... :)
Snoopy 04-19-2006, 07:41 PM Maybe I will just to see how fast I can get my hinny kicked by a kid!
Snoopy 04-19-2006, 07:47 PM Too bad you weren't closer Hoop, would let you show me around the rink a couple times.
Hooper 04-20-2006, 08:59 AM Maybe I will just to see how fast I can get my hinny kicked by a kid!
Well, at nationals it took 6.5 seconds to win his first round... that was a record time... and against another black belt, so, my guess is, for you, about 2 seconds... :)
Dang kid kicked me in the head again yesterday.... I am still seeing stars... good thing he doesn't have much weight to put behind his kicks or he would have knocked my head off... :)
Come on up and we'll put on the gloves... :)
