hello i have a 79 bronco and have broken the shaft everytime out i run 39s and have a heavy foot. what can i do to elimanate breakage thanks

Which gear box are you talking about. I assume by saying that you have a heavy foot the you mean either the t-case or tranny. Or are you talking about the steering gear box?

I pretty much doubt he is breaking the tranny or tcase. I am going to say he is snapping sector shafts on his power steering box.

i am breaking the steering gearbox shaft.would it be better to go full hydro then hydro assist.i have a orbit valve all ready.

Hydro-assist would definitely take 50% or more of the load off the sector shaft. If you got the means to go full-hydro, then that'd probably be the more durable option (sounds like you play pretty rough if you're breaking it EVERY time :eek: ).
