well after owning the thign for 8 months and spending the last two and a half dong a gear swap...i was fianlly able to get out and wheel yesterday. i was up till 1:30am friday night finshing swapping in the new front 3rd. when all was said and done, it was well worth all the time spent.
didnt get into anything hairy, but was able to follow a TJ with ARB's F/R, regeared, and 35's with ease. I am ashamed that this was also my first time wheelin wiht a locker and god damn those things make a differance! I spent about 75% of the day in two wheel drive.
sorry, no pics. just thoguht id brag about sammis. oh, total project casot was less then $400. quick build recap:
Rear Axle: Hybrid Tracker/Samurai housing c/o moto261 (exceptional craftsmanship), stock tracker 3rd, 5.13's and lok-right
Front Axle: Nothing fancy here, just swapped a stock Tracker front 3rd, 5.13's as well.
