OK so I have a 1989 Cherokee, 4.0, AW4 ,..33's ect, ect I can get a smokin deal on a Dana 60/70 out of a 99 Ram diesel,.. buuuut is that overkill? Looking at running a 36" tire,.. 8" lift,... just looking for some general input,...
Also whats the length of stock Cherokee 30/35's?

NO it's not overkill because you will Always Eventually Go Bigger.

Definitally not overkill. I'd shorten the bugger but I'd defintally go 60. I got an 8.8 for $50 bucks so I went that route. I'm going to go 60 within the next 2 years

go with 60/70 if you can get a good deal. If your gonna spend the money spend it right the first time.

Jump on them.
Stock with lockers 1 ton stuff is fairly damn strong.

My moto has always been, spend a little more money the first time and build it right or spend a lot more later.

I'd say jump on that. I wish I'd gone that route instead of dumping money into stock axles.
