First off a little about my rig, Its an 87 Canadian Sammy with 85 toy axles 4:30 ratios with a tt swapped 1.6 on stock springs with 33x12.5 ss ts l's on the front and boggers out back. I searched on here and can only come up with the homemade template for yj leaf swap. I live in northern Ontario Canada and its kinda a pain in the arse ordering from the states so I'm gonna make everything up my self. I wanna use the template for the hangers but I'm not sure how to modify the shackles I don't need ml's. I thought about making a sort of L shaped shackle and just run the bolt off of the old shackle mounts. What do you guys think will it work right? Keep in mind I'm not trying for maximum flex just a better ride offroad plus I broke my main back leafs climbing a hill so I need to get em changed pronto.I already have the leafs 2 4 packs and 2 5 packs.I also need to know how bad the axle wrap is after swapping to yj's my stock leaves had the overload leaf from a rear toy spring in em and it seemed to limit the axle wrap but rode a lil ruff.I'm planning on making a traction bar setup using a shackle style hanger and 2 heim joints at the axle end like all the ones you see on vendors sites.
