Stronger Deffinatly the 9" but the 44" offers a lil more ground clearance....

Is this even noticable? I would think that they are ALMOST exactly the same. I have never had 2 right next to each other though...

i know that the 28 spline 9 inch is a weak mother, looking at options and is the 31 spline that much stronger than a 44. would love to go 35 spline but need a strange or nodulaar housing. wish i could find one at pick n pull

the 9's pinion seems much lower than a 44, or i may have just been smoking crack...just one more thing to keep in mind.... anyone ever compared a 35 splined 9" to a super 44 kit as far as strength. thats what im curious about...not exactly apples to apples but closer....

Now I belive a 44 is a 44 and one don't hang down any lower than another 44 I might be wrong but I got a 44 front and 9" rear and its like 1-2" differance I dont remember excatly.... it was quite a bit to stick in my head to wonder about puttin a 44 in but I was :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: somethin good then I came back to reality and said 9" all the way..... i'll measure for accuracy this weekend

Thanks, I would be interested to know the clearance difference between the two.
