I had asked the questions earlier about the direction I should go with my truck. I need to keep as much fuel mileage as possible even though I know big tires and lifts don't help that at all. I have been considering keeping my stock engine and doing some beefing(bore over.03, hotter cam,etc), buying a Z24 and beefing it up from a friend, or going with a v6 or even a 305 or 350. Someone said that gearing it down should solve some of my problems. However I am afraid of losing top end speed which I need in a daily driver. I see 4cylinders running 38 inch tires alot and am sure their not speed demons but I am sure they have enough power or they wouldn't have 'em. My question being how low should I gear it not as to have it rapping out at 60mph but being able to get to 50mph in sometime that day.:confused: also what would be the easiest swap.
