I noticed since I didn't get around to painting my FJ 60 in a timely manner that a couple of the rust spots on the roof have rusted through with holes about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. What is the best way tor repair these?

On the Scout (plenty of pratice) for up to a 1/2" hole, I'd dimple the holes in, then use the MIG to close the hole. Welding a 1/2 circle each pass. Ugly as hell from underneith, the holes I welded were in the tub, so I didn't care how it looked.

You can also square the hole, flange the opening and drop in a patch panal.
