I am getting ready to mount coil springs on my YJ frame and axles and was wondering if it would be better to put them inside or outside the frame. Inside should be alot more flexy but it might make body roll reallly bad on the road (this is a trail only jeep but I occasionally have to drive between where I unload and where I wheel). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

i am getting ready to do this too....

the TJ has the fronts outboard of the frame (but the frame is narrowed 6" in the front

the rear are directly under the frame

i am going to keep mine roughly as they were from the factory just farther apart (more wheelbase)

I'm looking at TJ springs all around on my YJ also. I've been told that there is a six inch difference in width of the frame both that the TJ frame has a higher bend to it. So store Tj spring would give me about 5 inches of lift in the rear but i'd have to experiment with the front. As for location for springs in the front i'm not sure. can anybody verify this info.
