Guys,

Mounting my seat restraints and I've read that the ideal angle for the shoulder strap is 30 degrees of the back of the seat? Notice several Ftoys where the straps where straight down the back of the seat.

Is the 30 degree thing for higher speeds? Tuffer rollovers to avoid compressing the spine? Someone school this plowboy.

Also, are you guys running the sub belt? Can't remember.

Thanks

mark

Thanks Chris. Gonna go with the instructions on the harness for mounting and add the restraint bar lower on the chassis.

in a hurry I didn't mount my subbelts, but as soon as I get home they're going in, you can't pull you shoulder harness's to tight without pulling up on your lap belt. I know my pregnant wife would of appreciated them as it would hold the lap belt down and she tighten the shoulder straps more on the scary lines.

What kind of seat belts do you have. Are they the "Y" configuration or do they have seperate shoulder belts. Also, do you have one cut out in your seats for shoulder belts or 2?

Assuming you also have the 2 seperate cut outs in the seat also, you need to sit in the seat and see where the 2 cut outs are according to your shoulder height.
In
Todd's rig the seats are soo tall it fits me good having the belts going through the seat. On my rig the seats are a little shorter so I had PRP make loops on top of the seat shoulder area to hold the belts in place and run the belts over the top of the seats.

I have the PRPs and they seem to line up right for me. Just want to get the angle correct of them mounting behind the seat. Also, gonna run my sub belt. After seeing those rollovers..no need taking a chance without it.

The perfect rear mount is where the seat doesn't see any force at all. The belts go straight through the seat to your shoulders.
You rarely see this though.
If you set up the crotch belt when you set up the seats and belts it is no big deal. It's a PITA if you do it after.

That's what I thought about mounting the shoulder strap. I think I've got it down. Definately going to run the sub-belt after doing some research on what it's designed to do.

Thanks for the 411
