Ok in reality I'm just griping because I can't afford D60's or a big block right now....but it's still fun.
I was perusing (sp) the fourwheeler mag with the top truck contestants last night while taking a sh*t (therefore the aforementioned title) and came to realise that 90% of the rigs had the typical 14blt rear, D60 front, big block, turbo400, np205 combo all on a chevy one ton chasy thing going.
This originally got me to thinking, I'm gonna go but a one ton chevy w/ a 454, 14blt rear, and d-60 front. Rip the cab and bed off, put some gears, lockers, and 44" boggers. Then all I would have to do to win TTC is paint the whole thing in chrome for the "show and shine".
Upon further reading, and contemplation on the amount of mexican food I had recently eaten, I realised that those who actually made it to the competition were those that tended to stray from this "blue print" and focused more on the suspension and overall "buletproofness" of their rig.
Wich means that all I can do now is take my new chrome mud flinging device to the local mud bogs and place bets on next years pics for the great and allmighty TTC. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
On a serious note, for those lucky enuf to enhabit a "southern redneck" state whos 4-wheelin comunity is comprised 90% of mud loving freaks, and actually wants to joing their comunity cheaply, a one ton with no cab and a seat on the front bumper, and 44" boggers, would be a fun mud spranying tool. :D :D
