A friend of mine is looking into a lift for his samurai and he is looking at a calmini super 5" lift combo, I know this is not a great question but he wants to know about it so flame if you want.

i personally would go with an spoa kit. cheaper, more flex, and if its still not high enough, its easy to go higher.oh yeah, for the flames...:nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

That what I was telling him. He has the stock springs on it right now and I told him to just so spring over and go with it for a while untill he gets new springs, but he dose't like what the rear stock springs look like. Besides YJ springs what would be good to go with?

Thanks for the:nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

if anyone on this high end of a board says that they prefer spua over spoa......they are:rainbow: and probably work for calmeany. there is no way in hell i would run their stiff ass springs!!! i know i am going to get flamed for this but buy the www.rockyroadoutfitters.com spring perches and spacers and go for it!! z-links are easy to make and brake lines are easy to install. screw the spua crap!!:flipoff2:

I was checkin out a local's rig with a calmini S/R 5" combo and I just didn;t like it much, there are big ugly FANGS in the front just itching to bite rocks. I run a 4.5" breeze SPOA and am about the same height as him, better approach angle, and rides better too, the Calmini springs seem a bit stiff. It's not a bad setup I don't think just a SPOA is better! SPOA is THE way on a sammy.

SPOA, Breeze X-Over steering.

Use the stock springs.

You didn't say target tire size...

If you are going to go through the work of a spoa....Just do YJ's....You cant go wrong! Do it right the first time!

I guess i will be the a$$ in here.
The calmini lift is a piece of sht. their are two guys that live near me that have them and the hate them. Both of themsay that the springs ride like rock/ one says the BDS are softer than the calmini springs/
I have got to ride in them / they ride very ruff/

Not trying to sale something for someone
For the price i would go with Breeze are RRO SPOA.

My friend greytx is going with the RRO perches and breeze zbar/breeze spacers/stock springs/toy camria (80 model)break lins/

When i sale all parts out of my 88.5
I am going with the RRO perches/Breeze z bar/Breeze spacer/and stock strings, with a few extra strings added in.
toy break lines
