If you were wondering what happened to my original build thread, I had my website HACKED to shit in February and the douchebag hit the delete button on the entire site. Lost everthing cause I was a dumbass and didn't back it up.:shaking:
Anyways, here's where it was last Friday. I'll keep this thread updated till she's done.
Here's the final inboard spring mount. Under neath the box is the original hanger with a triangle of plate up against the frame like this |> and then the plate around it to box it in. Poison Spyder Gussets to keep it from seperating like Hobies did.

Wilwood Master Assembly:

Still fussin' with the placement of the assembly a little and the steering wheel. But should have it set now.

Encapsulating the motor for the firewall. Subfloor is down. Just have to finish up the rear CV cage. The inside is going to be all Aluminum.
One more

Front axle is missing cause it's being made at FROR. Diamond with custom shaft and Elocker Mod. 60.6 for the width up front.
More in the morning. Working non stop till it's done...:flipoff2:
you prolly know this but.....make sure your clutch and bell housing is covered as best you can. and are you sure you have 3" above your helmet to the chassis?
and btw, you wont have problems with the hanger. the reason that one hanger came apart, was because it wasnt welded on all 3 sides, just 2:shaking:

Yeah, I was playing around with that piece of AL and trying to get as much clearance for the slave as possible. Might have to recut it though.
I do have 3" above and when I set the chassis in February it was higher than that and Heywood said it was "too tall" so I dropped it down to 2.25 inches above the frame rail and with my bucket, should be ample clearance for the 3"
I'll slouch if I have to:eek:
By the size of the boulder you were moving with your axle, thought the extra gussets were called for...learned a ton from you guys in 2 days:smokin:

Update:
Switch panel is in...this was a chore. Made 2 brackets/mounting systems last night and sent both to the scrap pile after 3 hours of work and started from scratch again and came up with this. I like it. Sturdy as hell, clean and effective. Most important, no need to bend the trans shifter to clear it now. My tolerance is about 1/2 inch when in first gear to the fuse box.

With the fairlead mounted so far back, the front chassis supports might take a beating in side pulls. What do you think about mounting the fairlead all the way to the front?

I did think of that, good eye  Hopefully won't have to use it that much:flipoff2: but you never know.
Could space it out using some tube bungs. With syn line, you think it will be a problem?

You know I bought those things off a guy here on Pirate that had them welded on by a machine shop and they do not leak..they are reversed back spacing though. They work..ran them all last year with good luck.
BUT, I've noticed all of Scott's rings are wider than these unless I'm just missing something...

Driveshafts, wiring, brakes, clutch...that's what is left. And those should be cake compared to what's needed to get this far.
