I bought a front Dana 44 with CJ outers a couple years ago for my YJ. I'm getting ready to do a SOA and I need to do a high steer for clearance, but it doesn't look like I've got enough meat on these knuckles to put a high steer arm on. Can I get 44 knuckles off of something else and still use the stub shafts, hubs, rotors and calipers I have or do I need to replace it all? Also, I'm using the standard pitman arm right now, and it looks like if I put the tie rod on top of the arms, it will hit the pitman arm. How are you guys getting around this?

You can use mid-77 and older Wagoneer knuckles which are flat top or '77 and older Chevy knuckles which are flat top and drilled/studded already on the drivers side. You existing spindle and everything beyond it will bolt up to these knuckles.

Thanks. SOA in front soon then. Any ideas on the pitman arm/tie rod conflict?
