New to all this. What is the difference between a BODY lift and suspension lift?
Body lift = raises the body off the frame
Suspension lift = raises and increases travel of the suspension from the axles up - allows for larger tires to increase ground clearance...Hope this helps

DO you normally have to do both? I just want to rasie it about 2". It will be a daily driver. Thanks !!
What vehicle? XJ or unibody vehicles cannot utilize body lifts.

It's a 1992 YJ.
it's up to you, you can do a body lift, or get springs - body lift is cheaper unless you can find some springs on here, but with shipping on springs you would be out less money going with a body lift. They are not recommended by everyone, I've had rigs with no more than a 2 inch body lift and there are no problems with them and pretty easy to install.

Thanks for the info! If I don't do a lift, leave the Jeep stock. What would the biggest tires I could go with? Again this is a daily driver, 4 cly. Don't want to over task it! But be able to pull & run offroad, but not rock climb~.

I wouldn't go over 30" tires with a stock 4 cyl YJ.
