I'm looking for a small (2-3") lift for a daily driver ZJ. I was looking for advise based on others experience with kits or spacers in that range. I'm only planning on running 245/65's. Thanks.

jeepsunlimited.com or nagca.com would be your best source of information. But the above advice is good.

You can do a front to rear coil swap which will give you about 3.5" and then buy aftermarket 3.5" coils for the front, or you can do a 2" spacer on top of stock coils. You'll need an adjustable track bar or relocation bracket, new shocks and an alignment. If you go over 3.5" or so you will want to upgrade to adjustable control arms too, but for the size your looking for you hsouldnt need to. Im currently running 2" spacers on top of V8 up country coils(with tow package) and I am at about 3.5" or so on 31s and it has worked out well, but the tires rubbed a bit so Im running wheel spacers too.

How much off set do you have? Do you think I'd need a track bar with 2" of lift?

With 2" budget lift you might have a slight "dog walk" but shouldnt be major.
Im running 3.5 RE with 33s and a sawzall w/BFH. Im running a 4.5" offset.

www.mallcrawlin.com <- Best ZJ site period.
I'm doing a F>R swap this weekend. RE 3.5" springs, skycrapper shocks, RE rear track bar bracket and pressing the bends out of my front track bar. This will be a temp set up till I drop coin on some adustable track bars.
I'll be running 33x12.50s with a 4" back spacing in a few weeks. I will be trimming a lot with the sawzall and bashing with the hammer.

I went with the adj trackbar when I just had 2" spacers before I had the UC springs. i did need it, my tire rubbed on one side only. The rear TB is untouched and I have no problems out of it.
