I've changed my mind about lifting my 98 3500 that I'm converting to srw. I'm thinking of saving the $1300 or so I'd spend on a lift and just using levelers on the front. My question is, what's the biggest tire I can run? I'm thinking 33x12.50 on 16x10 rims. Am I close? Thanks!

Depending on what leveler & motor you have. If it is Diesel steel spacers up front are recomended over poly (poly will work but weaken over time with the extra weight). There is 2-5" spacers readily available for the front in steel. With a 2 or 3" you can clear 305X70X16 (33X12.5"). I would suggest the 3" though. You could also do the 5" & a add a leaf in the rear just to be sure. It is about the cheapest lift you can get for it though.

Ive read on turbodieselregister.com that with the levelin kit on the front that you can get 35s. But Im gona try for a 36-12.50s on mine. Might even shoot for some wore out 37s just for experimenting. Itll eat out what it dont need.

I probably will be very interested in selling them. May be a bit (couple weeks) but I'll post up in here as soon as I get it done.

IF YOU PUT A STEEL LEVELING KIT ON IT SHOULD RAISE IT ABOUT 2" AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CLEAR 33x10.5 ON THE STOCK WHEELS. THAT IS WHAT IS ON MINE. I DO HAVE EXTRA ROOM MAYBE ENOUGH TO FIR 35x10.5. I WAS TOLD THAT IS POSSIBLE. NOW IF YOU RUN AN ACTUAL LEVELING SPRING THAT IS 3" LONGER THAN STOCK YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RUN A 37x12.5 ON THE STOCK WHEELS. IT MAY RUB A BIT THIS I WAS TOLD BY SAGE AT THE CARLI SUSPENSION. THIS WILL ONLY WORK ON THE STOCK WHEELS CAUSE OF THE BACKSPACING. THIS GUY DOES KITS FOR DODGES. THEY ARE BAJA KITS AND I HAVE FOUND THAT HE IS MORE WILLING TO HELP WITH QUESTIONS, ANSWERS, AND ADVISE OVER KORE. THAT IS JUST AN OPINION.
