Where do you guys go to get custom brake lines made? I have an isuzu with toyota axles and i cannot find a company that sells brake lines for that setup.

Most make their own. Buy the tubing, a flaring tool, and a bending tool and you're set.

I dunno I tried that route with the bending tool and the damn thing came out looking like a silly straw. Brakes are not my strong suit.

You can go with a place like one of these:

Shipping becomes an issue, though. I can only imagine what UPS is going to do to a ten foot long piece of pre-bent brake tubing...
Check around town to see if a street rod shop or someplace like that will set you up.

If you're looking for flexible hoses, there are several vendors on the board no less that will make them up for you in just about any configuration imaginable. Maybe one of them will chime in.
Your toyota axle end needs to be M10x1.0 female inverted flare assuming you're running the short hardline from the caliper just like stock. As for the Isuzu end, I couldn't tell you without more information...and maybe not even then. But at least that gives you somewhere to start. Post more info on your Isuzu and you might get more help.

thanks for all the replies.... I am looking for a steel braided line that goes from the frame mount isuzu hard line to the stock toyota caliper hardline. BTW it is a 92 rodeo, thanks

sounds stupid, but autozone got me my front brake hardlines, with soft lines attatched, super cheap. they were very nice. of course stock application there.
i have delt with keithflux, and i can say its very high quality, and i will be ordering from him again.

Sorry to jack the thread, but what kind of prices are you guys looking at for the soft lines from the body to the axle, two in front and one in back?

I got mine at a "hot rod" shop; 4 stainless lines (2 for each axle), 2 "t-blocks" (2 into 1 blocks), 2 stainless drop lines, banjo fittings for the calipers (Chevy fronts/Cadillac rears) and adaptors to mate the different lines to the factory hard lines. $200. Nothing "custom", everything was in stock. I know others who went "custom" for the same result and spent almost double.

keithflux will beat that price, they will be stainless braided, have whatever color you want, and sent to you.

I got a set of 5 stainless braided kevlar covered lines from Kiethflux here on the board. You`ll find him in the vendors section. Very nice lines and they were about $109 shipped to my door.

I had a local hydrolic shop make my front brake lines... they cost me about 100 for the pair, but they are super nice and custom length...

My brake lines were actually very well priced, it was the fittings and adapters that added up. The lines were $10-$15, depending on the length and totalled around $80-$85. The fittings weren't cheap but I needed them. My project is a Tacoma on Ford axles with 4 wheel disc brakes. Front and rear calipers had different threads, as did the new proportioning valve. Everything is mated to what's left of the Toyota hard lines which were a different thread from the rest.

Go to some where like royal brass and hose or your local circle track shop and buy some lines that aren't dot approved. Same lines just not dot approved. I got my extended braided lines when I jacked up my cherokee for something like $30. DOT extended lines for my jeep where going to be $200+
