Iroks are amazing on the rocks...hmm... I wonder if that's a coincidence... :D seriously though they are a great tire. They are not as good as a comp crawler but for the price, hands down they are the best tire for crawling out there. Sticky tread, strong sidewalls, heck they even drive decent on the road.

Yeah, I dont think i will ever get another tire, i love my 37" iroks
super sticky
i have about 10-12k miles on them with over 60% tread left, ride nice and are quite for an aggressive tire. :smokin:

On rocks, the Irok works better than any other tire in the interco line, but they still pale in comparison to the comp compund krawlers. The comp compund MT Baja Claws aren't a bad tire either, but they are expensive and wear out super fast, plus the sizing is goofy. Some guys claim good results from the Maxxis Creepy Crawler & Trepador lines, as well as the Toyo rock tires, but I have yet to see either of them work all that well firsthand.
Of course, if price is an issue to you as opposed to absolute performance, the Iroks become a really appealing option. I ran a set of 39.5X13.5-17 bias Iroks on our 04' supermod buggy and they turned out to be really tough tires. I made it through the whole season on one set, no punctures, no tossed beads, nothing. They come in good sizes as well, I especially like the new 42".
If you're looking for a cheap tire for serious recreational rock use, I think it's hard to beat the Irok. Personally, I'd run the bias for the durability factor - but most sizes are available both ways.

I run the Bias 37" IROKs on my YJ. East Coast or wet condiditons I would trade them for anything, thats right I said anything. I have gotten over obsticles that Krawlers have not and hung right there with them on others.
In Moab they did not perform as well as I had hoped. I ran with a lot of guys on comp tires (both Maxxis and BFG) and the IROK was out classed. That said, they was still nothing my tires limited me on, it just wasnt as easy.
Bang for you buck you cant beat them, I spent under $800 shipped on my 4 37x14x16.5 IROKs.

I run them and will not run anything else now,I dont like the radials they have weak sidewalls but the bias are great.I bought a set of crawlers and ran them for 1 day and ordered iroks as soon as I got back from wheeling, my buddy is running them on his xj and likes them though.I liked my iroks in moab , I really like them in tellico I have sat behind people hammering on it for 5 minutes trying to get up slick rock and such and rolled up and drove right up ,after I got up everyone there watching said they new what their next tire would be.

Had a set of 36" Iroks on my last Sammi and they were literally point and shoot. they climbed obstacles that guys with 39" boggers were having trouble with. Have had 3 sets and currently have a set in reserve for my FJ.

I havent been really impressed with them. I havent run them personally but all the guys I wheel with, that have them, dont really make me take notice. I think a set of MTR's are pretty comperable. I payed the same price for my 37x12.5x15 MTR's as radial roks list for. Bias are a little cheaper though. I think it depends on your rig and terrain you run on.

My bias 36" have served me well. The only weakness is if you are into rock racing, fast paced 4 wheelin, these are the wrong tires for you. They chunk easy at high speeds!
They out crawl MTRs, BFG MT, TSL etc etc.

Not as good as red label crawlers, but they are a damned good tire. I had to break mine in and run them at 4 pounds in JV on a moderately weighted YJ. Beadlocked of course...They're a whole different animal then when I tried running them at 6 pounds. A great compromise between being such a soft compound they chunk and grab so hard they break stuff, and being so hard that they just spin and can't hook up. Never run them in the mud or anything besides rock though. My 36" bias play are about the same diameter as a 37" mt/r, taller unmounted even, and definitely outperform anything else I've run with in JV for $160 apiece

Hahahahahaa:smokin:
Well... They are more then a decent tire they can keep up with most comp tires... wouldn't run them in mud. But for rocks and slick stuff they grip. Love them.
BTW... habitat how long have you been wheeling?

it won't be for a mud truck but why do you guys not suggest running them in the mud

Irok's or good for the rocks as well as MTR's
If you are using them in the mud I would choose SX swampers

haven't wheeled yet, i know i know laugh, but i've had too many problems to even try yet..i had to replace the engine, and i just replaced the steering..i did the engine twice, top end, then the bottom end was shot, so hadda make it into a new engine..now my tranny sucks, but idc anymore, need new lines, have em, just need the time...i've gone wheeling once, like last year, in some shitty stock jeep wrangler, i drove, narrow steep trail, it'd probably help if i had a license, or permit, or some documentation that says i can drive a car

They run great in the mud, second to boggers i would say. Look at how some ratings came in for mud...
