My buddy is trying to fix up an 82 Datsun 720 with a z22s 4cyl. As of right now it looks like the head is trashed and he hasn't been able to free the seized engine up. At this point he may need to get an entire new engine.
What other vehicles did the z22 come in or is there a better engine that he should swap in? He does not want to change anything else in the drivetrain so if there's something that will bolt up with out changing the tranny and everything else that would be what he's looking for.
Any help would be appreciated.
