I think I'd take the options you had available over a glove box door though... full floaters, diesels, troopies, etc. 60seriesguy 04-11-2002, 07:43 PM If you drove a 1976 FJ40 with "factory A/C", it wasn't factory, it was a DEALER OPTION (available from 1975+). Some of these are even Nippondenso, but Land Cruisers were never imported into the US with factory A/C until 1979, the units were installed by individual Toyota dealers and vary wildly in style, brand, size, etc... Or it could be that someone swapped the A/C out of a later model FJ40 into that 1976. With FJ40's getting so old, sometimes it's really tough to figure out modifications that were done 15 years ago, they may look stock by now.
