I picked up an 8.8 axle and didn't think to measure it until I got it home. The wms is 62" end to end. It was laready out of the vehicle when I got it so I am trying to figure out what it came out of. It's a 5 on 4.5 hub and looked to have coils on a swingarm. It has emergency brake lines that are about 2 feet long and disk brakes. Any help with this would be appreciated. I've been trying to figure it out for two weeks.

I think it is but I'm looking to put it under a 93 yj. I want the little extra stance it provides without going to a full size axle. I need to find out what its out of to see if I can get 31 spline axle shafts for it or start looking for a different one.

Could be from a mustang. If it's discs it may be a turbocoupe or supercoupe [would probably have 3.55s if so] or a newer stang.

Are there any brackets on it? Suspension setup? I am assuming it is a 28 spliner?

62" is too wide to be out of an Explorer.

I would guess a thunderbird turbocoupe or some other wide car.

It's got 3.27 gears in it and 2 3/4 inch tubes. I'm thinking it might be out of a minivan. I know the Aerostars had them but I don't know if the windstars did.

Windstars are front wheel drive.

I'll measure my Aerostar tomorow but 62" sounds kinda wide. Who knows, we'll see in the morning. It has coils in the back but no discs. I think it's out of a Grand Marquis or LTD. Oh wait, I have one of those too. I'll measure that as well.:shaking:
