ok so im in the middle of putting my front waggy 44 together. got it all together and im trying to put the spindle nuts on. they wont go on. they thread on a couple threads then the get rock hard to thread on. like almost to much to push. im using chevy small bearing spindles and warns spindle nut kit that goes with their lock outs. the spindles and nuts are brand new. i even tryed the old spindle nuts i had but they do the same thing, is this normal?

No, sounds like the spindle may have disfigured from an axle failure. Are both sides doing this?

the spindles are brand new. both sides do it, which leaves me to believe i might have the wrong spindle nuts. but the stock spindle nuts do the exact same thing

The thread is different. Just go to your local hardware store, and get some hard ones. Grade 5.

That's not going to happen. Sounds like maybe the spindles have something wrong with them since 4 nuts are not threading onto them. Do you have an older spindle to compare the threads to?

He's probably asking about the wheelbearing locknuts (spindle nuts), not the spindle-to-knuckle nuts.
No burrs or nicks on the spindle threads?
I didn't think there would be different spindle threads for D44s (although I admit I haven't tried swapping the nuts much)
