Could I just put out a recommendation and say don't use either of those cams in a buggy... They're not good cams for anything anyways except the B sounds good. I had a B in my mustang and it was OK but I think stockers or Fs are much better.

i have a B, it has 5,000 miles on it. how much will you give for it?

on the contrary crawldaddy i think it will make a great cam for a buggy. just a little on the performance side fron a stock cam.
i really liked it in my 4,300 lbs bronco. i moved up to Pro comp .557

IVe got a brand new TFS cam that you can have for cheap, only problem is one of the cam journals needs to be repolished.

i like the e too, there are better grinds for sure but over stock and or stock sploder its way better.

unloaded idle can get shitty at times though.

I'm not to pickey on what cam i put in it just going for somthing alittle above stock. Last weekend at the tin benders jambo at the hammer's i had some motor bug's so i took it down to the short block and when i put it back together i would like to put a little bigger cam in it..

Honestly a B cam is going to lose you some low end. Same with the E. Either way I think you're wasting money. Heads are the biggest step on a mustang engine.

this is true that there can be a power loss lower down. whether its detectable or not is beyond me as at 2800 i have never had a problem with one that isnt the same for the other.. i have gt40 heads. but when i put the truck cam in it toasted the overall power. and that was instantly detectable. i hate this truck cam, and didnt figure it would be this bad for drivability. i was use to being able to move and get r's when i moved the throttle. its lazy as fawk now. it lugs good for sure. when real real slow, i dont have a doubler and 435... the e is way better for climbing if you have an auto.

one thing i thought was big, it still holds the hill after cinci when going into kentucky from ohio just fine at 1900 rpms, both cams wont provide enough power to keep from kicking out of overdrive. the e once in drive will run me to 110 up the hill 5 sign things before i can get to the top from where it gets straight, the truck cam wont go 110 till i am over the top. thats from 60 mph.

before i put the e back in i will dyno it and compare the actual numbers. but i need smaller tires to fit into the garage.

I'm not to worried about getting it out of the coz the buggy is only like 2,800lb's if that and it has 4to1 in the t-case with 6.50 in the axles and a 2800 stall. The main reason i would like to put alittle bigger cam is that it is already apart and the stock cam and lifters are bad. I just can't bring myself to put a stock cam back in it..

Wow that's really light. Turbo the engine and go run 9s in the 1/4. That would be interesting. You might need some body panels though.

I'm still in need of a cam and at this point i'll put in a stock 5.0 mustang one. If any of you guy's live close to me and have something give me a call..

P.S I just need a cam so please don't call me just to tell me what cam you think i should run..:flipoff2:
