I think what was more impressive was watching him go down the drop off that tore his back up last time. Lots of character to do that again.:p
nasnut67 04-30-2006, 08:59 PM Poor ole Eric Nixon blew his knee out. Torbett had to use a sub spotter for Sunday.
broncman 05-01-2006, 05:33 AM I got to meet Jesse for the first time this event and was impressed, especially with the bum foot. Very impressive! I liked the way he utilized the ARB's. Nice work...

Rohrer's jeep is the same as last year except it has a 60 front.
mudtruck44 05-01-2006, 08:56 AM he quit competitive crawling for good yesterday see ya on the trails.
Come on Charlie. I would hate to see you quit. You just had a bad weekend, but you're one of the top guys in the east and I hope to see you at every event.
snobrder 05-01-2006, 09:37 AM Danny and Chad have the rig named Wombat. The only thing they changed from last year is the Dana 60 front. Here is a link to their site. http://wombat4x4.com/
kramermd 05-01-2006, 09:50 AM Thanks Mike for posting the link. You beat me to it. I will be updating the site this week and pics and such, so check it out.

Bmf24 05-01-2006, 07:55 PM damn jesse, you kicked ass. the first course on sunday really showed you and your spotters strengths in spots. that first drop everyone was kind of ploping off, you came off it with great control and made it look easy. and bringing that boulder off the 2nd drop with you and keeping it from rolling was sweet.
and who ever that bare metal moon buggy was did a great job also. if was making me nervious just watching the courses this weekend.
and a word of advise: dont go drinking with Dan Dibble and his crew. bad things happen. :flipoff2:
Dan Dibble 05-01-2006, 11:10 PM and who ever that bare metal moon buggy was did a great job also. if was making me nervious just watching the courses this weekend.:

how did the guy that "fell" into the trash can and rolled down the stairs feeling the next morning?

hey........that trash can was in front of my room the next morning! great to meet you guys!!
The bare metal moon buggy was mine. We really had alot of fun this weekend for the first trip to Jellico. The coarses were crazy:eek: but fun.
I don't know about the top notch welding:shaking: , but I did the best I could.
Thanks to Eric at EMS offroad for building a rear drive shaft at the last minute and bring it to the event all the way from PA.
Look forward to seeing everybody at the next event, including you Charlie.
DOUG38S 05-02-2006, 08:14 PM Damn Dan didnt know you were gonna be there. Beers in Harlan then.
BTW- Anybody see the house that burnt down at the bottom of the mountain after Sunday? Scary stuff.
brandy 05-02-2006, 08:17 PM yeah... eric brought me down parts too, then stayed up with us till 1:30 getting my junk ready to go through tech. I heard he thought my "few things to finish" might have been an understatement.

Yeah, we headed out about 5 when it started raining hard. I saw the fire and said that shit wasn't like that when we came through.
Dan, What time did ya'll leave? We got there about noon Sunday & never saw ya. What did you drive up in?
KimJeep 05-02-2006, 10:56 PM That house that burned, I live right up the road from it

Those fawkers got a ride with the pizza guy to the Starlight bar. Then left there with some locals and ended up at a house party till 6:00am:laughing:
Dan
coilcj 05-03-2006, 06:08 AM BTW- Anybody see the house that burnt down at the bottom of the mountain after Sunday? Scary stuff.
We thought it was ironic that the house was still burning with a propane tank right next to it!
DOUG38S 05-03-2006, 06:59 AM No doubt thats what Kat said. And the guy just standing there looking at it. Dunno if it was his house or he set it on fire?:D
candctroll 05-03-2006, 07:01 AM We came through about 6:30 and he was still standing there watching it.
he quit competitive crawling for good yesterday see ya on the trails.
If it makes you feel better Charlie, I hit a banner for the first time on Saturday .:D
Now atleast give me a chance whip up on you with my new Buggy .
zachv 05-03-2006, 06:22 PM We came through about 6:30 and he was still standing there watching it.
That thing had to have started around 2PM because we went by around 3 and it was half burned by that pont and everyone was just standing around watching it go. Mudjocky has some crazy pictures of that thing playing inferno--maybe he can get them up.
KimJeep 05-03-2006, 08:59 PM I have a question, what's the attendance for other East Coast events? Are they the same has Jellico's or what? We had an awesome turn out at this past weekends UROC event. Just wondering what the other attendances are for the other east events.
