Belly Dragger 04-11-2002, 07:55 PM Ok so today we deceided to see how much sheet metal I need to remove. In the process I think something is broken. Well at least it looks that way. :D
It's a mild mannered Amigo

Ken a member of the local club wonders if he can do this to his Jeep.

Two people tried to push the vehicle over from the rear bumper high spot and it didn't budge.
Ballast is good.
Belly Dragger 04-11-2002, 07:55 PM Front tire lift. 48"

All these are at full street pressure. Mike thinks I could get another 5 inches at trail pressure.
Again people tried to push it over and it's not going. :D

Just too sweet!! I'm speechless!!! WOW!!!
Ok I'm better now.....Couple of comments.
It looks like only MINOR fender trimming needed, which is impressive to say the least!!
What's the chrome cylinder on the rear axle for??
And I'm assume a full cage is going in...SAFTEY FIRST..well second in this case ;)
This is seriously one of the best rigs I've ever seen on pirates bar NONE!!!
kinda looks like a remote res for the coilover shock?
It appears the rear coilover res's aren't attatched, just hanging??? I'm guessing you were doing clearance and binding tests and still have minor issues, looks kick ass!

bigdude 04-12-2002, 06:06 AM That thing is absolutely gorgeous. I really do like the way the amigo body looks riding on those big meats. That is also a great balance of flex between the front and rear. You will have to post action shots as sson as you have them.

morpheus 04-12-2002, 12:43 PM sweet rig!
hey, i haven't been following along too closely on your buildup but why is the rear not a normal 4-link ? was it because of space constraints or ??
- jack
Lowrangerider 04-12-2002, 04:28 PM Looks like a factory chopped toyota pickup on steroids... I like it!

what's not normal about it? It has two lower links from the axle tubes to the frame, and triangulated uppers to the top of the differential. Seems like a pretty normal design to me...
