Anyone that has run full hydraulic steering on their XJ, I have a question? Which pump did you use? I know that some have used stock pumps. I was going to use the Danfoss orbital valve with a 2x8 ram. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i have the stock pump on my 90 xj with 36 inch iroks hooked to a danfoss steering valve and double ended surpluss center 2 inch ram 1.25 shaft. Drives great its even my DD. At some times in real jammed up situations i wish i had a pump with a lil more ass.

You can use your stock pump...I would buy a return to center orbital valve though.

The stock pump will work fine, you just need to match the orbital to the pump and ram your using. And run a big cooler.

Its a lil tricky plumbing to that pump. Plan on ditching the factory tank on it and hooking right to the pump intake. I machined some stainless to press fit in there. I made a 1 gallon tank and put that where my washer fluid used to be. No overheating issues so far.
