Sorry no pix..I'm poor...
Got a 70 blazer...8lug on tuesday. The rear axle is a 14 bolt that has been converted to disk brakes...56" from flange to flange...
It looks to be a 60 or a gm14bolt. The cover does not have a fill plug. the diff is sitting to the pass side of the carrier. The pinion has five bolts that hold it to the housing. I think the BOM #'s are...603375...Didn't seem to help mutch... Does anyone have pix of the PINION side of there D60 or otherwise noted?

that looks like it would be a 14 bolt from the diff cover:confused: might be a 14 bolt center with 60 outers

Definitly a gm ff 14 bolt. Why someone would put 60 outers on a 14 bolt is beyond me. The other one looks like a 10 bolt rear.

Awe come on. Are you :smokin: Is this for real? :flipoff2: This sounds like a fawking newbie question. :flipoff2: I bet it's really a GM 10 bolt disguised as a 14 bolt. Geez! If you can't recognize the axle, maybe it would be best to give it up to someone who could appreciate it. Sorry but this thread should be killed for the basic principle that some one with 2500 posts can't identify a common axle.

sorry but I drive toyotas...:flipoff2: I don't need no stinkin huge axles :cool: Whats with the pinion kicked off to the side? I have seen FF14bolts but never with the pinion not centered :rasta:
This is a newbie Q BTW.
Newbie to fullsize....

Every 14 bolt I've seen (including mine) has the pinion kicked off to the side like that;)

The pinion is slightly off center, but not that much. I'd say the center section it self is off center.:rolleyes: :laughing:

YUP!
Exactly! The pinion itself is within 1/2" of being centered. It's the ring gear that's off center. Every 4 bolt is like that.
