I have access to a rear end out of a 67 F100. Does anyone know the width of the early Ford axles? I'll be putting it on my YJ.
Thanks.

You "have access" to it? Why not get a measurement? Probably in the 67" range Dana 44.

i don't know about 60's models but some of the 70's f100's had d44's and ford 9" in the 62" wide range.

The semi-float 60's from those years were 5 lug, 30 spline and were right about 62" wide.

F100's from those years came with either a 9" or D60 so it's a crap shoot.

BTW, Taft, I haven't been able to leave the house..My buddy is suposed to ship that seal out for me today I think.

Taft,
Thanks, the width on my YJ is 60" correct? How much of a difference will the 2" make? And will this work with my YJ?
Thanks again.
Scott

It'll work great for your YJ. What about the front though? Have you swapped out the 30 yet?

Thanks for the answer. I still have the 30 in the front  it'll have to do for now until I can afford something else.

Well, the 30 will be a little bit narrower but keep your eye out for a Waggy axle to swap in. It's ~61-62" wide once you convert it to 5 lug.
