I am going to be fabbing up a custom tranny crossmember for my 98 chevy sas. I am using a np241 pass drop t case. Anyways my question is......would it be ok if i hard mount the tranny/tcase and have the the bushings where the custom crossmember mounts to the frame? Will doing this be ok for the drivetrain? I know that will not give any support for the frame, so i am going to be adding another frame strengthener crossmember behind it. What do yall think?
ps. will be using 1.5 1/4 wall dom tubing

are you attaching the mount to the adapter between the trans and tcase only?

I am not exactly sure what you are talking about.....
I am going to hardmount a plate to the tcase/tranny bolts where they are now, and have the poly mounts where the crossmembers attach to the frame.
Currently (stock) they have a huge poly mount right where the tcase mounts to the crossmember, and then the crossmember bolts directly to the frame......

gotcha...I think hardmount to tcase, then bushing at frame would be fine.
