Finally got the power steering worked out on the diesel. Man, that engine is NOT accessory-friendly:mad: But life is Good w/ PS!

Here's a shot of the gearbox:

Why didn't you buy a vehicle that comes with factory power steering? :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

After all, it's harder to swap in a steering box than cut off an IFS, right?

Looks pretty big, but why are you using these small tires, and why are they so close together under one fender flair?

Huh???? 36" tires small for a zuk.... that's a good one. And what the heck do you mean by close together under the flair?? That sentance makes no sense?????

Too bad I couldn't tell you this earlier Burner... but I found a place in south-west Memphis that had several IFS Toys in their wrecking yard this afternoon. Drove past it after dropping off my drive shaft, and figured I'd check it out.

It woulda come in handy when you needed a new P.S. pulley... they had a couple bad 22R/REs with all the acessories on them. PM me if you ever want the info. No zuks, but at least a half-dozen IFS Toys.

Damn Canadians... :usa:

Looks good. Any reason why you ran a toy IFS box over a Scout Saginaw? I'm new to the Zuk arena but really like the idea of shedding the weight of my FJ for a Zuk. Just don't tell the TLCA.

dig the mil spec lights under the flatbed.. Oil, how are you dealing with the centered toy diffy, are you running a zuki t-case or toy?

I think he's talking about the trailer. Dr. Evil is the only Tennessean I know that actually drives his rig to the trails.:p The rest of us own trailer queens.;)

While 'Burners highway RPM's are better now with the stock t-case and Klune-V, Moab is a LONG way to ride in Zuk without a windshield or top!

OLDIESAURUS - cold-blooded, oversized prehistoric animal, with unusually small brain to bodyweight ratio resulting in inability to process new information and adopting to NEW and changing environment. This animal often hunted in packs and preyed on smaller, seemingly weaker animals. This reassured Oldiesaurus of its false sense of un-compromised power and intelligence, which ironically resulted in eventual extinction, as the very same small worm blooded mammals it hunted, proved to out-adopt the old dumb giants.

Too bad you guys are so quick with dissing others you can't see past the tip of your own nose

If you remember the "solid axlekick" thread, you remember my blue sidekick. It's a relatively new machine, but so far so good, it's been bullet proof on snow. I'm waiting for summer to do more rocks.
It has 5.89's in it all locked up. Stock 1.6. stock T-Case.

Whish list:
OTT, toy-kick Tcase for low end off road
2L twin cam for hiway torqe and HP.

 what were the tires you were running again?

just remember after the dust (mud?)(snow?) settles and the blood starts coagulating, it's all in fun! :D
we all are (hopefully...) here because of a common interest that allows enjoyment of 4x4ing, over most everything else!
  guys.
(even newbies. but, ssshhh! i didn't say that.) :D

They are 33's.

Oh, ya, I'm not only an inventor of a pointed stick and pants, instead of bushes, I'm also a user... :smokin: LOL. It's all good...

So, any picture of the the mount you fabbed? I could show you my GM mount in trade...if you haven't done one already. I have a 1.9 td in mine. I decided I need to have power steering. After bumping a tree the steering wheel spun so fast against my hand I got a burn that took 3 weeks to heal (good thing I keep my thumbs outta' there). My alternator is mounted on the passenger side off a ribbed belt, the water pump has the v-belt.
