Hey real quick,

What is the length of a stock three speed tcase. Input to DS flange...

Just under 10" from the tranny mating surface to the DS flange. Safety note, when running out to the garage to measure stuff do not walk past the drill press in bare feet, ouch! :(

Thanks!!!

Now, would a 17" DS be way short for cruiser rear ds....

Hmmm, may have to move the rear axle back a bit further...

Anyone run that short of a DS?????

Not if your angles are small and you don't have any lift

How high are your yokes on the t-case and pinion?

Well the new rear axle will be a 9" so low. The lift will probably not change so it will be a standard SO with 5 springs in the rear.

I might have to goto 1/4 elliptic in the rear and move the rear axle wayyy back to make up for the lack of room... The problem is that I am being laxy and not wanting to make the mounts for the links myself. Anyone want to build a set of 1/4 elliptic mounts for my cruiser???? ;)
