We got in a few Toyota hub gears. They are 4340 chromoly, of course we tried to test them in a hub. The stock ones broke at 5,800 foot pounds. It is this inner hub gear that breaks first and then takes out the outter hub gear. When this inner hub gear goes then it strips the spline off the birf. When we tested the new inner gears it finally took out the outter hub gear at around 7,500 foot pounds of torque. The new inner hub gear was ok. So this will at least save the birf.:smokin:
