I'm at a friends house trying to remove hub-drum so I can change out a wheel stud that I broke in half.

I have a 83 Chevy 1/2 Pick Up with manual locking hubs

Now I have removed the caliper and tore out all inner hub componets. To me I think now all I have to do is hammer the f'n thing off. But it just won't budge. Am I missing something? Basicly there is just the Roater and the hub-drum and they look like they are attached in a way that they are both suppost to come off as one unit.

Help

Please feel free to flame away at me for asking such a rookie question but I'm stuck.

So you have the rotor and hub off of the vehicle already?

No that just it I can't get them off. I have all the guts of the manual locking hub out but the roater and hub-drum ( I don't know what you call that) won't pull off.

After you pull the hub parts out, you need to use a D44 hub socket to remove the first nut. Then you remove the lock washer and then the second nut. After that, then entire rotor/hub assy will slide off.

After I removed the Drive Flange I used a tool that is 3" tall and 2"wide with 4 teeth in the outer ring. I took off just one nut. Then I removed to more pieces out. I can still see another piece in there around the axleshaft but I doesn't look like it comes off.

The last piece in there still has 6 teeth indentions. Three on one side and three on the opposite. The teeth are not evenly spread all around.

If the only thing left on the Spindle (the part that the axle goes though) is the bearing, then it should pull off. It this what you are seeing? Or is there a washer in there with a bunch of tiny holes?
