Hey guys, I need a new (used) 440 for my motorhome and was wondering what the going rate for a 440 is? My tranny (727TF) is still good, are all the 440's the same bolt pattern, I believe it is a 4bolt main. Thanks for any info any of you can give me. If you have one you are trying to get rid of PM me too please......
thanks again.

You want a cast or steel crank? I doubt it's a 4 bolt. The 440 "4 bolt" is a 2 bolt main with two cross bolts thru the block skirt. I think the cross bolt stuff was only on max wedge stuff.

All big blocks have the same pattern so you could run a 361-440. The motor home 440s have special heads, are yours ok?

I see 440's pop up in Pnp all the time. 400,383 are much more commonin pnp.

the only factory cross bolted mopar was the hemi. you neeed a cast crank(more than likely, year would help) 440 which by now most of them need a rebuild. try to look for one someone has rebuilt and no longer needs or plan on a rebuild. probably looking around a couple grand unless you find a good deal on one.

Now what is wrong with your 440? From what i have looked into, they arent extremely expensive to rebuild.. for $800 i bet it would be going great
Now i see you live in roseville.. assuming california. Which means you need a 76 or newer 440, and they stoped being made in 78 i beleive. Now you could try to run an older big block, with all the 76 smog stuff, and chance it.. but i would rather not if it were me.

hope i helped out some.
