Got my Dana 300 in fifty pieces, installing a 4:1 kit and HD rear output shaft.
Next will be a twin stick setup. I've read about problems with poping out of gear and the need for stronger detent springs in the Dana 20's. Is this a problem with the Dana 300's? Where would you get new springs? I noticed that my two springs are slightly different from each other? One is way stiffer?
Been searching every night for info but mostly finding post on how to build a twin stick. (no star to search here) Need more info on how to install ... remove interlocks pills? etc.
Also what are you using to re-seal/cover the holes for the interlock pills? Any and all thoughts apprieciated.

Thanks, Rockn On

I just finished my 4:1. The kit came with stiffer springs to help prevent it from popping out of gear. To seal the pill openings it came with some 1/4 pipe terminations to fill the hole. Just tap them and thread in the plug.

I believe JB Conversions sells different spring and ball kits. The springs are stiffer to keep the lever from poping out of gear.

Why would you remove the interlocks? Leave them in so the t-case cant go into low front and rear high (and vise-versa) at the same time.
