I've got an 85 full size and I was wonderin wether anybody had heard of taken a rear spring pak and putting it on the front. If so how many inches does it create, how many leafs do ya take out and any other good stuff. :D

A while back there was a guy on CK5 that had 52" chevy rears in front. The problem I see is they are 5" longer than the stock fronts. To mount them you will need to move the mounts. To keep the axle in the stock place you would need to lengthen the frame. This will hurt your approach angle. Why do you want to do this?Blazin:rasta:

My Blazer has tough country 4 in lift front springs and I took a set of stock 77 3/4 ton rears and took 3 leafs out of them an added them to my front springs. It did stiffen up the front a bit but it added 2-3 in of lift that I needed. Maybe you could just rebuild your fronts if your just looking for more lift.

I've got a spare set. figured it would be a cheap lift.sounds like the next guy might have an Idea, but how stiff? I don't want to be drivin a rock. I'd like some flex so this would probably counteract that. it also sounds like not enough lift. I'm lookin for six:roxy:

When i originaly put my 44's on my k5 i had a 2" body lift and 6" spring lift. I did a lot of fender trimming but under full compression the tire was into the fenderwell/floor board. So i took the main leaf from a set of factory truck springs and swapped it into my front pack. I had to build a new front hanger to make it work but it got the tireout of the back of the fender. Only then it ended up in the front of the fender right under where the batteries are. The longer springs rode/flexed better. I did not do it for lift......more to move the front axle forward a few inches......so yes its not so difficult to do. But if your only doing it for an easy lift it may be more work than you want.:usa:

I was running crossover on it..really didnt affect anything.still drove like shit. the drag link wasnt exactly parallel to the axle any more but it wasnt bad.
